I've been on the floor a lot lately, wrapping presents, building toys, etc etc. On both my knees, I have what looks like a spot below my knees. It's red and inflamed, but it does feel like it's just the skin, so not housemaid's knee. It hurts when touched etc, but not the rest of the time - and it's a sharp 'surface' sort of pain.

Have I got ingrown hairs? Or what? And what can I do to fix it? We have wooden floors, so kneeling really hurts now.

You could try some calendula cream - that generally sorts out skin problems pretty quickly. It might just be friction sores.

Yep, friction sores. DH used to get them all the time (carpet burns). LOL.

They don't feel like friction burns, but yeah, that could be it. They bloody well hurt. Might try calendula.

I'm trying to avoid kneeling, too, might try using a cushion if I must.
