1yo had D&V bug last week, but still has disgusting poos - how much longer will I need a clothespin for my nose?

Sorry if this is TMI. I know that it's perfectly normal for LOs to have loose yellow poos after a tummy bug. My DD stopped vomiting on Saturday, but her poos have been revolting since then. Every change has included a complete change of her clothes, and often mine as she kicks it over me (EWWWWWWWWWWW). I've even had to resort to disposables as I couldn't keep up with the nappies.

She's fine in herself, no temperature or anything. Her appetite is returning, and I'm trying to keep her on a bland BRAT diet - tho she snaffled a stuffing ball off my plate today when I wasn't looking. She's obviously still run down as she has sticky eyes and a bit of a cold, but she really is perfectly fine.

I just can't take the poos anymore! How much longer????

Hi Babypowder

I completely understand how you feel!!!
My one year old DD had the same problem two weeks ago. She vomitted for two days before the bug went south and turned into some seriously large, runny, smelly nappies.
I too quit using cotton nappies for the first time in a year.
I'm afraid that you probably have a couple more days to get through, but you should find that the poo starts to become a little less runny over the next couple of days. At least enough to actually stay in the nappy rather than run down her leg and onto the floor!

To be honest, I took my DD to the doctor and he gave me some medicine to help clear up the diarrhea. Maybe you should consider doing that.
