3 year old with no appetite

My three and a half year old has not been interested in food for about a year now. I dont give her snacks yet every meal time is a struggle. If I left it up to her she would just skip meals, sometimes several in a row, and then will not catch up by being any hungrier at the next meal. When should I go see the docs? My 14 month old eats about 5 times more than her. She has not put on any weight at all in the last 6 months despite having grown by 3 centimetres! Anyone with similar experiences? Any information or enlightment would be helpful.

Normal, ime. They start eating reasonably around age 4.

How is her health in general? If she's developing fine, seems bright and alert most of the time, then I wouldn't worry at all. It's normal for children to go through these stages.

My 3 year old is just the same. Nice to hear that someone else is going through the same thing.

Dd eats better at mealtimes if she doesn't have snacks, but I'm torn between offering her nutritious snacks in between meals to get some more food into her, but I know that if I do, she will pick at her food at mealtimes.

Thanks for that. Have any of you found that your child has stayed at the same weight for ages despite growing in height?
