It feels like there is a hair in my throat but none?

This probably sounds mad, (it’s driving me mad) Last night had been all fine then after having 1 sip of alcohol (which I rarely do due to reflux) I felt what was like a hair in the back of my throat, I do have hair that goes everywhere but this has never happened. I tried rinsing with water, using a toothbrush, even ate something, kept drinking and well today that sensation is still there. It’s bothering me and I’m unsure if anyone can relate or know :(

I’ve put no hair in title as surely if had been hair it would’ve…

If it's a sore throat it's very likely the start of covid

Or just as likely to be a sore throat

My throat wasn’t sore, just felt like a hair :( but it seems to not be as bad now. Xx

Mine comes and goes, I get a bit croaky mid sentence now and again and feel like there's a hair or something in my throat now and again.
I strain my vocal chords from talking too much (The ENT Dr actually said that :) )
It's true! I do but it's because of my job so can't be helped.

Could it be a tonsil stone? That feels like something stuck!

@Fuckityfucksake My voice has still been croaky, did they give you anything for it? Was that what you were referred for! I feel like asking GP to refer on

Whenever I am run down I get this. There are little bumps right at the back of your tongue called the circumvallate papillae. I had this recently at the beginning of Covid, but I get it all the time with many illnesses.

GameofPhones · 03/01/2022 23:10

I had what felt like pieces of straw in my throat when I had an allergy to house dust mites. I got urticaria as well (nettle rash).

MikeTigerInCar · 03/01/2022 23:34

I had this years ago and I think it was eventually diagnosed as silent reflux (I used to take a soft drink to bed with me and I think that was what started the problem for me).

Have you scratched your throat? Swallowed something like a crisp too big? Otherwise post nasal drip would be my first thought, I use Beconase, it stops it within 24 hours.

I have had this just recently but I've also been having tonsil stones so wondered if that had something to do with it. I also had covid couple of weeks ago. It's a horrible feeling
