Snoring , dry mouth and humidifiers

Hi there,
I regularly wake up each morning with a dry mouth and unfortunately snore like a bear hibernating. Someone suggested a humidifier to help with this so I bought one but haven't noticed a difference. It's only a little sized one (about the size of a bag of flour) but I'm in a small room and it's right next to my bed.
Has anyone had any success with curing dry mouth or even snoring and do humidifiers really work ???
