To be worried about this chest pain

Not after medical advice but alone with no other adult to ask.
I don't think I'm in immediate danger as it's been ongoing for about 4/5 days...I've had this chest pain, it's not constant but when I'm lying in bed and move around or when I cough, it's like a tight uncomfortable feeling around my chest and ribs. I tested positive for covid 16 days ago and was fine apart from a Terrible cough so wonder if I could have pulled a muscle.
I had my heart checked 6 months ago for a genetic reason (ecg, mri, chest X-ray) and all was found to be okay so I'm not too worried

If you are recovering from covid you really need to call out of hours.

AgathaX · 26/12/2021 23:53

Could be intercostal rib pain if you've been coughing?

NeverDropYourMoonCup · 26/12/2021 23:58

Look up the NHS advice on chest pain and follow it.

It doesn't feel bad enough to call 111. I can do normal activities and feel okay the pain is more a sharp pain that comes when moving. Thanks for replying. I'm thinking more muscular, maybe from coughing too much

Definitely get checked. I have long covid and regularly get this and chest pains and palpitations if I do a lot and the doctor has seen it with covid a bit in the last year so could possibly be covid linked for you too but I've had regular scans etc to rule out anything else. Hope it eases for you op
