Strep throat /cut throat trying to scrape puss off

Caught strep throat off my boyfriend last week and I have just tried to scrape some of the puss off as it’s really uncomfortable. My tonsil bled as I was doing it and now I’m freaking out google says it can spread to the blood stream? Do I need to see a doctor ? I don’t want to tell my mum or ask her on Christmas Eve to be taking me anywhere. I’m so worried I didn’t think it was a big deal at first. It stopped bleeding within minutes

Why don’t you call 111 and get assessed. I’ve been on twice tonight about my dd. You will probably need to be assessed and get antibiotics.

Stop scraping your tonsils and they will stop bleeding. Antibiotics reduce symptoms by one day only (and come with side effects). If you are well gargle salt water, spray some difflam, and take some pain relief. Make sure you’re drinking plenty. Hope you feel better soon.
