Ferritin hair loss - where was yours? (And did it grow back?!)

Hello and happy Xmas!

Hoping somebody can help put my mind at rest! I have chronic digestive issues (clear colonoscopy, MRI, stool sample but currently being investigated for celiac. Celiac stool and blood test negative but awaiting gastroscopy results). A few months ago I noticed I had a really thin patch of hair one side of my parting, so when I pulled my hair across into my usual side part at the front, the bright bathroom light seemed to illuminate my scalp! Further investigations revealed that this whole area one side of my parting and my temples is all thin and wispy, with some very thin patches at the sides, visible when my hair is up.
Blood tests normal apart from a ferritin level of 13.
9 weeks ago I started taking ferrous sulphate twice a day, and have since added in high strength vitamin D, Perfectil Extra HAIR, and a multivitamin. So far, I can see a very small number of shorter hairs but nothing to write home about it. In this time the thin area has become so much worse, there’s literally about 30 hairs holding the fort. Honestly if these last ones fall out I’ll be totally bald there! Panicky rifling through old pics of me shows I have always had less hair density in this area, but never as bad as this. My hair overall feels slightly thinner than usual, but really it’s this area at the front that’s concerning me so much.
What I’m worried about is that because I can see so much loss here, it means it’s not the ferritin causing it. And therefore it will be harder/impossible to correct. It’s possible my hair is like this in patches in other areas but I can’t see it? Or did anyone else find their ferritin floss was concentrated at the front? I suppose if I’m thinking logically then my digestive issues plus my low ferritin levels make it likely to be the cause? My parting right at the front seems to be getting wider by the day! I’m frantic the tablets won’t work.
Sorry for rambling, I guess I’d love to know did you lose hair at the front more noticeably, did it get better with supplements, and finally how long until you began to notice any significant regrowth?
Thanks so much!! Really hoping someone can help put my overactive anxious mind at rest. X

My ferratin was down to 5. Hair loss was all over, not in specific areas. Luckily I had a lot of hair. I did 3 months of ferrous fumerate which slowed down the loss.

Yes I think perhaps I am getting a loss all over but maybe these areas I’m noticing more because they are thinner anyway. Have you noticed new hair growing back? I have literally only a few short hairs so far!
