Ive got pains in my stomach

Have been trying to keep my mind off it by posting on here, texting dp, washing up etc etc but its getting too much. Ive had this pain in my stomach since this afternoon. I dont know what started it. I had something to eat, when into my car, and whilst i was driving, this pain just came on in my stomach and hasnt gone away since. Have been taking nureofen (sp?) I try sitting in different positions like lying on tummy, lying on back, sitting down crouched forward or up straight. It feels like Ive been punched in the stomach and it really hurts. Any ideas what it can be? Rang up my GP to make an appointment but its not til Friday!

very. just text dp about it, although i know he'll be sick with worry. ive just taken two nurofens, although one of them felt like it got wedged in my throat! hopefully, something will kick in the next couple of hours although they havent so far!

thanks mizmiz, still hurts. think i might leave it til tomorrow morning though. hopefully will feel better, but if its still there then i will see if i can get an emergency appointment. the more i think about it the more i think vict17 is right and it might just be stress. ive been having an awful fortnight with dd ill and everything else going wrong. but the nurse said that it could be an inflamed stomach which ive had before, and have found the prescription i had for it (have two tablets left) so will take one in an hours time, dont want to go bad with the drugs!!

Well for what it's worth i reckon that if you can live with it overnight, it shouldn't be too serious. I know with the gall bladder thing, I would have murdered someone to get pain relief.
Also know that the stress related stomach pain thing is fairly common.
Take it easy, keep us updated

will do mizmiz, thanks. its not seriously painful, just can feel it when i walk around or push it, or if i seem to stretch it like sitting up straight

Didnt sleep much last night. Lying down seemed to stretch the pain. I managed to sleep 1-3:45am, but was up again. Pain wasnt too bad, found a herbal heat thing and took some more nurofen. Curled up in bed, and thought Id ring up doctors at 8am when they opened. Funny enough I fell asleep 7:40am and woke up at 9am lol. Managed to get an appointment at 11:10 as it still hurts whilst I walk, and has gone back across the stomach than just on the right side

lol northstar. spent an hour at asda waiting for my bloody perscription doctor seems to think it may be due to an infection i had a couple weeks ago which was... ahem... honeymoon cystitis lol. but he says my kidney seems tender so if the tablets ive been given dont seem to work in the next couple of days, i have to come back. the tablets are bloody massive! how in the world they expect me to swallow all them down, i dont know!!

still in pain. a sharp pain just came on on my left side now Had college at 6:30, but left at 7:30 as I just felt terrible and looked it too. Im doing photography so we're stood up most of the time in the dark room which stinks of chemicals and is so hot, I just wanted to get the hell out of there. Cant wait for these antibiotics to kick in! Thanks for checking on me

hey mizmiz, cant feel the pains today. felt them last night when i went to bed, took me a while to sleep too. but seems the antibiotics have kicked in so happy. have an interview later on so didnt want to be sitting there in pain whilst trying to say im ideal for the job lol. thanks for asking xxxx
