Worried about 3 week old DDs belly

Hi,

Hopefully just a new parent's worry but our 3wk old daughter has a huge pot-belly. It sticks out well beyond the sides of her rib-cage - and also very far out front. It almost seems double the size of her chest - very balloon-like.

Is this normal?

I think most, if not all, Babies have huge tummies like that...mine certainly had that....however, if you are worried why not show the m/w or hv next time you see them...more for your own reassurance...

Thanks for the info - we checked with the health visitor who said it was a little too big and probably down to DW having too much fibre in her diet - she is a bran junkie! Need to cut it down a bit and massage DD's tum.
