am not feeling my best

have so much to do, and am ill AGAIN

vomiting, major upset tummy due to crohns, pain and lightheadedness

and the remnants of a stinking cold

no appetite, ( Yay ! will get my tight black jeans on for Xmas ! ) but i need to eat and drink something as I have the DCs to look after

what can I have?

keep it simple

fatty foods tend to set you off IIRC

clear broths, and nothing to hard to digest

how about boiled eggs (I had that for brekkie)

eat little and often ... rice cakes and marmite, bananas

(great news about the jeans btw )

camillathechicken · 19/12/2007 10:20

Can you get to the doctor?

Get them to prescribe some E028 Elemental drink it gives you everything you need without having to eat

The orange flavour is ok once you get used to it

RubySlippedonastraymincepie · 19/12/2007 10:24

oh no! poor you Lulu

can anyone help at all - is your MIL around?

CountessDraculaboredofxmasname · 19/12/2007 10:24

You may be able to buy it over the counter

Otherwise soup (with no fibrous lumps), mashed potato, apple puree etc

camillathechicken · 19/12/2007 10:25

thanks CD

no chance of Docs today , got DS being brought home from school poorly. should be able to go tomorrow as MIL is around

i could cry. i really could. pathetic i know, but it is just awful

it must have flared up as my immune system is shot after weeks of low grade illness

not too much fibre and i find white bread, dairy set me off

just have such rare flare ups, that i can never rememeber the drill.. had one on june, and one a bit ago, but that has been it

Hi camillathechicken,

I suffer from Crohns and find that it really helps if I avoid all wheat and dairy. So go for some eggs for breakfast then a nice tuna salad for lunch and then some fish and veggies for dinner. Hope that helps.
And no sugar!!

camillathechicken · 19/12/2007 10:48

thanks tonysoprano ( great name! ) not sure i could face tuna, but will try an egg

i think you and the DCs should all have boiled eggs and soldiers, then all get under the duvet and watch a film together

camillathechicken · 19/12/2007 10:51

Schneebly is taking DD to a little party in a bit, so will be able to chill with DS. My friend is making a little pre xmas party, and we had secret santa for the children.. so DD can have a nice time there, come home and hopefully sleep for a couple of hours, so will have a rest

DS home now. White as a sheet, and croaky and shivery

i thikn i might lie down and cry now
