Anyone know how much notice is given for urgent surgery in Wales??

Supposed to be having an operation beginning of January, still haven't got a date through. Am so anxious not knowing when it will be - anyone know how much notice is usually given? It's for neurosurgery.

Morriston is asking for fourteen days of distancing before your date (including the 72hrs after your covid swab before you go in), so you're likely to get a couple of weeks at least.

UHW is only asking for the 72 hours isolation between your covid swab and admission so you might have less notice.

Can't speak for adult care but there are a lot of cancellations at the moment. DD has had surgery cancelled at Morriston twice since November and has no been referred on to UHW. Also considers urgent.

I have had 2 urgent gynae surgeries this year one had 2 and one around 3 weeks notice. I had to have a Covid test then isolate for 3 days days prior.
I'm under Betsi Cadwalader health board.

Thank you both - it's at UHW in Cardiff and know I need a pre-op and xrays taken, so assumed I'd know by now, but perhaps it's less time than I think. I'm so paranoid that its going to end up being later than previously told. How long did you have to wait for your surgery?
