that's all I could think of I'm afraid !

Sounds like the same thing my mum has - gp calls it "white finger" - something to do with her circulation.

Don't have any more info but you could try googling.

MerryAnnSinglemas · 17/12/2007 16:00

I get that - rubbish circulation in my hands - can't go past the chiller cabinets in Sainsbury's without my fingers going white - but they go deathly white, like a dead persons, not blue

OverMyDeadStuffedTurkey · 17/12/2007 16:03

This happens to me too! If I get a bit cold my fingers will go deathly white, just the tips, and really hurt, and othertimes when I'm not cold they will simply go numb for between a couple of hours and a couple of days, there is sometimes a bluish tinge, sometimes not. I'll be watching this thread with interest!

madmommy6 · 17/12/2007 16:08

Its not my fingers going blue just the base of my nails. My hands aren't cold and i haven't any pain.
Oh well has long has i'm not going to have a heart attack i'll stop worrying.

the base of my fingernails go blue - bad circulation. I usually get it around 11am! Not eaten for a while and having been sitting down at work for a few hours....like clockwork.

coby · 18/12/2007 21:39

white finger - look up 'raynauds syndrome', I have it and DDs have it to. It can be pretty nasty.

Makes more than just the base of your finger nail go blue though and it bloody hurts if you have a decent dose of it!!!
