Cold sores

I keep getting cold sores and have had one after another for weeks now. Is there anything I can do to stop having them so frequently, I used to get two a year before this if I was unlucky. DD1 also has one which I feel really guilty about.

ARe you pregnant? I seem to remember you may be...

If so, it sounds like you may be a little rundown. I got loads after giving birth. Don't feel guilty about your dd1 - they are very contagious, however careful you are.

I am pregnant yes and have been ill this year and very run down. I will look into the acyclover tablets if they are suitable in pregnany. Poor dd looks such a state as she also has an insect bite on her cheek!

I'm not sure if you can take acyclovir tablets during pregnancy. i did use the cream though, although i'm not sure if that's allowed either.

What you can do is try and eat well, get enough rest, take care of yourself, and take pregnancy vitamins - but I know it's not always possible if you are busy!

How many weeks pregnant are you?
