Sjogren's syndrome lip biopsy

Blood tests relating to Sjogren's are currently negative however I've still been referred for a lip biopsy next week.
Has anyone experience with this procedure and what is the recovery time. Will I feel well enough for work the next day?

For years I have experienced joint pain with fatigue but this past year my mouth and eyes have been extremely dry. I'm constantly thirsty and food such as toast gets stuck in my throat. With regards to my eyes, drops for lubrication do nothing and my asthma has been continuously out of control too.

Hi OP, if you're on Facebook there's a really helpful page on there which should answer all your queries. My daughter had the lip biopsy and it was incredibly painful, but she was only 7 when she had it done so that won't have helped. My DD cannot cry, is always thirsty and has chronic muscle fatigue. She's 9 now and only medication she has is the eye drops which she hardly uses as I have to pin her down. I'm hoping she will become more accepting of them when she's older.
