Skin check for cancer

I'm 100% ginger and in my 40's. Growing up I would burn so bad id have egg sized blisters on my shoulders. I still burn very easily even on a cloudy day in December! I'm worried about the damage and wondered if there was a clinic or somewhere I could go where I'm checked all over for anything that looks dodgy?

You could book a private dermatologist skin check. Just google that and your area to find one local to you.

DH has several patches of skin cancer removed every year (for the past 6 years!) and gets 3 monthly checks with dermatology but the NHS won’t do routine skin checks I’m afraid.

Great idea, Thankyou

I recently paid about £200 for a specialist dermatologist to check all my moles / skin. She even checked the scalp under my hair & between my bum cheeks.

Just phone your local private hospital. Mine is a Nuffield

Crikey is that really what I can expect?

I'd like to think I was getting value for money I suppose.

I've just emailed my enquiry to my nearest private hospital.

Out of interest did they find anything to worry about?

Private dermo plus mole mapping.

What would people pay for this?
I'm very light skinned and lived abroad for a long while in the sun , so think this is something I'd like to get done but can't find prices online.

I paid couple of hundred (can’t remember exactly)

They didn’t find anything suspicious

I have fair skin & lots of moles

I think when I looked a few years ago it was £500 at my local Spire but it doesn't look like they do it anymore

I'm sure Boots used to do skin checking?
