I had no reaction to AZ vaccine apart from a sore arm. Had my pitzer booster & immediately had to call the doctor who did it as I felt woozy, sick, shaking it wore off within the 15 minutes but I felt tired & drained for the rest of the day & the next. Had a really sore arm but ok now. It's put me off having another booster jab if they become necessary bh.

I was so SO poorly after 2nd pfizer jab. Not dangerously do, but much worse that when I had actual COVID. I'd say it literally took about 2 months to fully get over it. Needless to say I won't be getting booster!!! I think I started to get over it when I really took it easy, didn't push through, made sure to get 8hrs sleep and ate nice nutritious food. It will pass! Be kind to yourself.

Branleuse · 15/11/2021 23:00

All i had was an achy arm the next day after my booster.
Felt tired after 1st jab (AZ) , fine after thd second and fine after pfizer booster

Howshouldibehave · 15/11/2021 23:05

Yes-I could have written your post! Exactly the same for all of the three jabs. The armpit is so painful-it feels like there’s a golf ball under there.

Goneback2school · 15/11/2021 23:07

I had my 3rd pfizer shot this morning. So far it's the same as the previous 2, just a sore arm. It lasted a day or two each of the previous times.

dizzydizzydizzy · 16/11/2021 05:39

2 x AZ and 1 x Pfizer. Felt totally normal after all 3 jabs. Not even sore arm.

tribpot · 16/11/2021 06:19

Three friends had the booster at the weekend and are feeling similar, OP, you are not alone. I was ill for two weeks after each AZ jab and have my booster (combined with flu) this weekend, I'm expecting to feel dog rough next week.

Hope you're feeling better soon.

Me too! That is exactly how it feels! I’ve also had indigestion like pains but under my ribs, really painful, last for about a minute. Anyone else had that, think I’ll be calling the dr today.
Itsnotdeep · 16/11/2021 06:29

I felt really awful with my booster - had it last week. It was my third pfizer though and I assumed it was because of that.

I was just so exhausted I could barely move, and my arm started hurting even before I got home from the surgery! I was better after a couple of days though.

Timeforwinterclothes · 16/11/2021 06:33

I was really unwell after first AZ. Fine with the second and Pfizer booster no reaction at all.

Lizzy1980 · 16/11/2021 06:43

Hi Mondui
Sorry to hear you’re feeling so unwell. A good friend of mine is in exactly the same position as you at the moment. She had her first AZ vaccine earlier this year and was pretty ropey after. She wasn’t quite as ill after the second jab and the side effects only lasted 48 hours or so. She had a Pfizer booster a week ago and is feeling absolutely dreadful. She’s not one to ‘make a fuss’ about being unwell but when I spoke to her yesterday she sounded terrible and said she’d never felt so bad. I know this doesn’t help you but comfort in numbers eh?
Hope you’re feeling better soon x

Nanasueathome · 16/11/2021 06:43

First AZ I had headache
Second AZ felt really tired and washed out
Pfizer booster, no reaction at all. Not even a sore arm

Vebrithien · 16/11/2021 06:47

I too could have written this!
Lymph nodes in my armpit are so swollen and sore. I've taken to walking around with a hot water bottle tucked under my arm, with gives a bit of relief.

Gov website states that the swollen lymph nodes (glands) are an uncommon side effect, and can last up to 10 days. If any longer, speak to your doctor.

Shehasadiamondinthesky · 16/11/2021 06:53

I had a big swollen lump under my armpit after the pfizer booster. I didn't connect the two - I rushed off to my GP thinking I had the big C and he said it's more likely the vaccine.
No painful symptoms though.

KosherDill · 16/11/2021 06:53

Feeling poorly is the sign of a robust immune response. Be grateful.

Libertynan · 16/11/2021 06:56

I had my booster last week and was very unwell for 3 days afterwards. Mine was the Moderna though - no idea why, just what the centre was using. (my first two were AZ)

Libertynan · 16/11/2021 06:57

Hope so Smile
CatonMat · 16/11/2021 06:58

Do you feel well enough to work, to those who are having a rough time?
Having mine tomorrow, and concerned that it will wipe me right out.

Libertynan · 16/11/2021 07:02

I wouldn't have been able/willing to leave the house and spend a full day at work. Even for a sitting down job.

I spent the first day post jab snoozing in bed/sofa

CatonMat · 16/11/2021 07:04

Thank you.
I'd better keep my fingers crossed, I think.

ToastieSnowy · 16/11/2021 07:11

Snap! AZ crap after first one, 2nd fine. Pfizer booster yesterday and I feel awful. Headache started about half an hour after the jab (reduced with paracetamol) but woke up today with an even worse one. My arm is sore but not as much as this years flu jab so I’m marking that as a win, but my neck is sore, I have chills and heart rate is up.

I am immune suppressed so hope that means a strong response.

SpookyScarySkeletons · 16/11/2021 07:16

Haven't had my booster yet (was due last week but I rather unfortunately caught bloody covid just before it was due)!!

But had Pfizer for first two and was ok. Sore arm and a bit tired but that was it.

Interestingly my sister caught covid between her first and second jabs. She had the sore arm and chills with first but the second absolutely floored her. She said it was worse than actual covid.

I would be interested to know how many people who felt really poorly after vaccination have had covid already and whether there is a link?

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 16/11/2021 07:34

All three of my jabs were Pfizer. I felt achy, sick and dizzy with the first which lasted 24 hours. I felt the same again with the second but it lasted three days, then the third one I felt sick, dizzy, tight chest and my arm really hurt and that lasted almost a week. I was really exhausted with all three as well.

WholeClassKeptIn · 16/11/2021 07:37

I had az first 2. Rough first jab, fine second

I had pfizer on sunday so lunch today should be coming up 48 hours and still feel horrible. Yesterday I needed to work from home but kept falling asleep. When I did the school run I felt like Id been run over.

Today I'm working outside the home and wish I could cancel. Zzzz

ItsSnowJokes · 16/11/2021 07:38

I had my Pfizer a week ago on the Saturday. I felt like death for a week fever, shakes, chills, sweating, pain, very swollen armpit, covid arm, itchy jab site, vomiting. I am now over a week on and still feel absolutely exhausted. Had to take last week off work, back yesterday but I am struggling.

I was a trial participant and I am meant to be having a 2nd Pfizer in 7 weeks time but I don't know if I can put myself through it. I cannot be that ill again.
