18 month old with a bad cough - can I buy anything over the counter?

Its a phlegmy cough, and hew was waking all night with it.

Cant really get to the doctors for the next 2 days and I think something OTC would be OK??

If there is anything?

I don't know if it works but many people swear that rubbing vicks on the soles of the feet at night stops them coughing - at night.

worth a try? i forgot when my dd2 last had a cough, but will remember next time.

There was a recent study which showed that the best cough medicine is honey. Try 1 small teaspoon of manuka honey.
