What's this at the back of my mouth? (photo)

My throat started feeling a bit uncomfortable a couple of hours ago, so when I brushed my teeth just now I had a look in the mirror. I can see a tiny white spot, like a little zit I suppose, which could be the cause of my discomfort, but what's the big dark spot?

Is it a blood blister? Does it pop easily?

The spot the arrow shows looks like spot of blood that had dried. Maybe you bit your gum whilst eating? Scratched it with food or cutlery?

A white/cream colour spot/lump in the tonsil can be a tonsilolith.

Big dark spot is a blood blister, really common on the inside of the mouth

What causes a blood blister to form in the mouth? I haven't noticed myself causing injury to my mouth recently.

I don’t know exactly but I occasionally get them on my inner lower lip, pop them and forget about them. I associate it with dryness (if I fall into a deep sleep with my mouth open Blush )

Hot food, catching it with something sharp (edge of tooth, crisp etc...)
