I have Tonsillitis and a Rash. 2 year old DD has Hand, foot and and mouth

On Monday DD had a rash around her mouth and arms plus generally feeling unwell. Nursery has said theres Hand foot and mouth going around the nursery.
I have Tonsillitis, spoke to Doctor this morning and she prescribed antibiotics. Also this morning I noticed a rash on my hands, face, arms, and bottom. They feel like pin pricks and it seems to be getting worse. Is it possible that I have caught hand foot and mouth? I wasn't aware that it can spread all over the body like this?

Yes sounds like it. That might also explain the tonsillitis as if you got spots in the mouth it will be very sore and will also cause a fever

Sounds like you have HFM as well! I caught it from my toddler and initially thought I had tonsillitis (despite having had my tonsils removed!). I'm afraid to say it got much worse before I got better. Hope it doesn't give you too rough a ride!
