Cancer hair regrowth

Hi, I'm posting this on behalf of my mum. She's almost half way through her chemo treatment

She had used a cold cap at the hospital but did loose 95% of her hair over the last 3 weeks BUT she's noticed her hair has started regrowing!

Is this normal? If anyone has experienced this, does the hair fall out after your next chemo as well, or will it continue to grow?

Her chemo is every 3 weeks, and she has 6 treatments total, half way point is Wednesday this week 🤞

I had chemo, no cold cap, I lost all my hair after the second chemo, but it literally started growing back almost straight away, by the third I had fine baby fuzz, so I don’t think it’s unusual.
It’s actually really infuriating to lose your hair one week and it start coming back the week after!! You almost wonder why it had to fall out.

I wish your mum well with her treatment. Tell her from one survivor to another “you’ve got this” x

Yes, that’s quite normal.
I used the cold cap and managed to hang on to 50% of my hair, but it does continue to fall out for a while after chemo.
For some reason those random black chin hairs grow back first 😡

I didn't cold cap but my hair started growing back when I'd finished AC and started on Taxol.
When I finished completely I waited a few weeks and got my head shaved. Hairdresser advised it would grow back quicker and stronger. I don't know if it made a difference but my hair did grow back fast and thick.
