Lump

I may be being paranoid after things which have been going on recently, but.... A few days ago, I discovered a small lump in my neck. It feels like it's on my throat and is about the size of a pea. My neck and chin/jaw have been really itchy for quite a while now (at least a month) but I just put this down to a new face cleanser (but not all of my face is itchy).

I suppose this means another trip to the GP (don't want to appear even more neurotic than usual..)??

Go, Caroline! It might be just a swollen gland, might be something to do with the itching, might be entirely innocent but get it looked at! (Never neurotic to check out a lump.)

Good luck.

Go.
Any halfway decent doc will see this is a good call and be able to reassure you/refer you further if need be.
Better sooner than later, I reckon, just in case.

All the best.

Go to the gp caroline, but don't book your cemetary plot yet. Some years ago, I was feeling really run down which culminated in three peas size lumps developing on my neck sort of behind my ear. I was sure that I was on my death bed. But as it turned out it was swollen glands and I had a form of glandular fever brought on by overworking. But at least my doctor ordered me to rest, something I would never have done otherwise.

Definitely go Caroline - I discovered a lump in my neck recently - I went to the doc straight away, just in case. If you go earlier it gives you peace of mind straight away if it's ok, and if it isn't you can get it dealt with earlier. My doc sent me for a scan the next day & they discovered I had 2 cysts on my thyroid - a biopsy revealed they are totally harmless so they're just leaving them.

I'm sure your gp will not regard lumps as neurosis - good luck
