definitely go for a probiotic but not those yougurt things which are pretty rubbish but buy proper powder and mix into milk or yogurt. IT was recommended to me by a nutritionist after my 3 year old had cold after cold after cold. Brilliant stuff
here
It's the top one in the list.

What about eccinachea (sp?) - it worked wonders for us when ds had 'one thing after another'.

alibo - go to the link - you can buy it online from here or lots of other online 'health' stars

aimsmum - I would give BioCare a call and check - I can't remember which one it is but it really worked for my DS - forgot to say that you hvae to give it every day for 2-3 weeks before you will notice any difference.

contact details for biocare
here
also if you just google (on google.co.uk) 'buy biocare' you'll find lots more info about it

aimsmum,

ds was about 2 1/2 when he started taking it. We got in a tincture (I think that's the right word) and we dissolved a few drops of this into either water, milk or juice or whatever. We got it from a herbalists (Napiers in Edinburgh - they may do mail order, will try to get their website address for you)

Try Banana or Strawberry Acidophilus Plus by Biocare for the probiotic for a 4 year old and Vitaforte Banana (vits and mins) - both fab, easy to add to milk or cereal or yog.......take probiotic for 1 month after antibiotics - the multivit can be taken long term. Echinacea is good to prevent infections but not so good during illness.
