Has anyone cured a sore cracked tongue?

I’ve had a cracked tongue for years, the appearance doesn’t bother me, but it can get so painful, particularly with certain foods such as tomatoes, spices, crisps and even bananas.

I’m not deficient in anything and have good oral hygiene so not sure where to turn next. Seems like a silly thing to go to the GP for, particularly in the current climate.

Any ideas?

I had similar issues and cured it by replacing my toothpaste with an SLS free one.

Maybe speak to your pharmacist, they can be very helpful.

Thanks @Querty123456 I will give this a try.

Thanks for the links @Gingernaut I think it’s a combo of both geographic and cracked.

I know it’s not deficiencies as I’ve had investigations for other reasons

Speak to your dentist. They are the experts when it comes to mouths.
