Asherman's Syndrome/Uterine Adhesions - article in The Times re fertlity problems

I saw this today and thought I would post

In The Times today

This is the condition I have and for which I am currently recieving treatment. My consultant believes it is my c section that has led to the adhesions and scarring to my uterus.

I have suffered with painful, but light/no periods since DD was born, in 2002. I was finally referred by my GP in June 2006. Saw the consultant in September and November 2006, has my first hysteroscopy/remocal of adhesions in August 2007 and then had the second op a week ago. Next step is a HSG san in January and then back to see the consultant in March.

I'd love for him to give me the green light re fertility again, but at the moment it is a waiting game...and we will see. Fingers crossed.

I was told Asherman's Syndrome was pretty rare but since my dx have actually found others, inc people on MN, who have had this and it makes you wonder how many go undiagnosed too.

So, posting really just for information for others more than anything. And this is the first time I have ever seen anything about the condition in the media.

Just found this post. Have you had your HSG yet?
