Our daughter late 20's caught covid in March 2020 and never been the same since and been on inhalers steriods since.

She was ashtmatic on and off may last a few days to a week or every 8/12 months or so but now 24/7

She is still holding down her job working from home but taking more time of sick.

She weight a skinny 43 she used to be 47/40kgs - when she is ill, she can't seem to eat as it makes the breathing worse. Tried soups, lucozands, cokes etc etc

is there anything you guys know about or will the gp help - they all think its due to long covid as she has had many tests, lung scans, blood tests etc etc but constant steriods inhalers is not good

I would get her to contact her gp again. In the meantime you could try a protein shake to get a few more calories in. I am really struggling to get weight on due to being unwell - it’s actually really hard to do. Hope she feels better soon.

Lots of asthmatics take steroid inhalers daily as a preventative measure to manage their asthma so I wouldn't worry too much about that if it's helping her breathing.
I would be concerned about why eating makes her breathing worse though. Do you think it could be an anxiety / behaviour type issue that's set in?
I'd definitely make another GP appointment and in the mean time do small amounts of high nutrition food - "good fats" and plenty of protein.
