I'm just wondering if what I'm feeling is normal, I have an infection/abscess I was given antibiotics last week which got rid of the pain however my jaw was still tender went back yesterday and was given some more antibiotics now I have no pain just real tenderness in the tooth is that normal? I'm having it extracted however I'm scared the infection won't of gone and they won't be able to numb it properly Confused

I went to have a tooth out with an infection, had had two lots of antibiotics but still had swelling all along the gum. I told the dentist I was scared of not getting numb and she assured me I would be.
And she was right. Totally numb, very difficult extraction due to the roots, but I didn't feel a thing. Took ages for the infection totally disappear after but the pain was gone once the tooth was out.
