Best advice to ease acid/indigestion/burping etc?

I have had IBS for over 20 years but for the last 4+ years I have had awful upper digestive issues.
I get this horrible gnawing empty feeling in my stomach, it feels acidy and uncomfortable. My guts will gurgle and gurgle regardless if I’ve eaten or not. Eating often makes it worse and I can literally burp for hours after. It really is totally uncomfortable and makes my feel miserable.
It’s worse mid cycle and I will also suffer horrible nausea during this time too. I am 48 I think I am perimenopausal so not sure if this is contributing to it all?
Two years ago I had an ultrasound scan, a ct scan, a colonoscopy and gastroscope with biopsies but nothing found not even mild inflammation or GERD but it feels so bad at times, even wakes me at night.
I take Gaviscon but it doesn’t help much.
I have been prescribed PPI’s but am worried about taking them because of the reported long term side effects. I have tried them a few times and ended up with a bad headache each time.
I am so careful with my food, with my IBS I am low fodmap, can’t touch alcohol or coffee and have to be careful with things like chocolate. I am also dairy free. But still it continues.
Any sufferers out there? Can you help with remedies or med suggestions?
It’s truly miserable at times like I’ve swallowed a balling ball which is on fire!

Bicarbonate of soda.
One teaspoon in a small amount of water. Knock it back quickly in one go because it tastes vile. Works amazingly well.

Low stomach acid can cause the same indigestion symptoms, quite common if you have hypothyroidism I believe. Mine stopped when I started taking apple cider vinegar in water every day.

Idontlike I’ll try that, thanks. I have read about the ACV, it’s doesn’t burn when you drink it?

No it doesn’t burn. I either put 2 teaspoons in a 500ml bottle of water, and sip throughout the morning (prob bad for teeth!), or just put one teaspoon in a small bit of water morning & evening & knock it back quickly.
