I use a Polar A370. It’s a bit fiddly to set up, but once you’ve done that it works a treat. I wear it all day every day.

Hazelnut do you use that with a chest strap?

No, I just wear it on my wrist. I tried a chest strap first but it kept losing contact, and anyway I much prefer the wrist band.

The wrist ones are supposedly less accurate than the chest ones. Most of the time the reading from my A370 matches exactly the reading I get from my phone, but about once or twice a day it seems to lose the plot and go ridiculously high or low. I just turn it off for a minute then turn it back on again and it usually resets correctly.

I use mine for pacing as I have ME/CFS. The buzzer tells me when I’m at risk of overdoing it, so I don’t spend too long in that zone. Then every evening I download the data for the day and I can see exactly how my activities for the day have affected my heart rate. It’s brilliant.
