Any ideas about dd's mystery itch?

My dd, 14 months, had really nasty nappy rash about a month ago, and got into the habit of using her heel to 'itch' her fanjo whenever she could (during changes, before bath, etc.) Thought the rash could be thrush, so used that cream to treat it, and it cleared up really well, but she's still using her heel in the same way, and making things quite sore for herself. Could she have vaginal thrush?? or anything similar?

any ideas gratefully received ...

Maybe it's just become a habit, she might just, ahem, enjoy it !

If it's sore, try and keep it covered and distract her with a toy.

HTH?

Thanks Twinkly - possibly a habit, but it does seem to have that 'I NEED to itch, mummy,' about it! Anyway, will get her checked when we go to docs next week for jab.
