Back pain seems ridiculously painful

I’m being a bit of a wimp, but my back feels painful. This is a moan as feel lonely and relatives think I’m being dramatic.this isn’t the worst pain ever - I’ve been through worse but just this minute it’s awful.

I likely strained some muscles in lower back and upper left swimming. Haven’t swum in ages and a disability so my swimming never had great technique.

lucky to be on holiday (just at home) and have no dependents so have given to bed after paracetamol and earlier ibuprofen gel.

Please keep me company or tell me about that is disproportionate- classic one being paper cut.

Should be about pain.

Yes it sucks but there are things that ease it. Have you tried an ice pack? A bag of frozen peas will do. It numbs the area and you get some blessed relief. Sometimes a heat pack helps. Ibuprofen is better if its muscle pain and paracetamol is a good pain killer. If it is muscular it should ease up quite quickly - anything else you will need to see a GP but they won't do anything for 6 weeks at least (their thinking is that most back pain will resolve in that time but bad luck if you are one of the few it doesn't). Hope this helps

I get lower back pain sometimes from workouts. I ice it straight after exercise and then later have a hot bath with Epsom salts.
