Weird nail - fungal infection?

Ok I should have dealt with this months ago but I can’t work out what this is. It’s only affecting the bit of nail where it’s growing away from the nail bed. Like a white line round the edge. (See photo) the nail bed also has a sort of wave to it and the end of the nail grows upwards
Is it just a fungal infection seems weird as it’s my thumb

I would cut the nail down as much as possible.

Could have had trauma and fungus needs dark moist areas etc.

That looks like it might be nail psoriasis.
