Blood in urine but no infection - need advice please

Hi everyone,
Apologies for how long this post is, I'm just worrying and urgently need some advice from someone who's been through a similar thing!
I really need some advice on whether anyone's experienced this or whether I need to go to hospital instead of waiting for the doctors. Basically, I noticed some blood in my urine, pain in bladder etc about a month ago, called the doctor who suspected it was just an infection and gave me some antibiotics. Symptoms disappeared for a bit after however they came back a couple of weeks ago. I rang them back and explained and they advised dropping off another urine sample. I received a text message saying red and white blood cells were found, and that they would look for infection but if this wasn't found they would investigate further. A week went by and I still hadn't heard anything so I rang back to a clueless receptionist who wasn't sure what the results were and then said "no infection was found, there is no further action required". I pushed back on this and explained that I was told it needed further investigation if no infection was found. She let me make a face to face appointment for what I assume is examination next week. However, in the meantime I've been feeling incredibly tired, loss of appetite, saw a bit of blood recently and am still having some pain/stinging after peeing. Obviously my main worry was bladder cancer so I rang 111 last night for a Doctor to tell me that if symptoms worsen to tell the Doctors again and get another sample in before my next appointment - I haven't had stomach pain so he isn't worried about a serious condition. I'm starting to get worried and impatient and am on the edge of going to a & e if I get any more blood. Can anyone please advise as to what might be going on and whether I should just go straight to hospital? Basically I have no stomach/back pain, my urine is darker than normal even if I drink lots of water, I'm very tired and have noticed a bit of blood in urine (though non-consistent) on a couple of occasions, as well as slight pain (again only occasionally) after peeing. Am I right to be this worried, and is this more urgent than I am being led to believe?

hi silversable, Have you had any luck finding out what is causing the blood in your urine. I have had the same problem with no infection and I have been fobbed off with "no further action required ". I think that is wrong but wonder if anyone else has had a similar experiance and what they did about it.

Yes I had this a few years back.

It was a kidney stone. They start off like this and - if you're very lucky - they don't move or grow. But even the most microscopic movement results in it causing blood in the urine - whether that's visible or not

I've had similar a few years back. Blood in wee (microscopic) and UTI symptoms but no infection. I was like it for three months it was hideous.

I was referred for a cystoscopy and bladder and kidney scan to rule out bladder cancer and all was well, nothing found.

Symptoms subsided but I still have the microscopic blood, probably always have. I'm one of the small percentage of people that just do without any obvious cause.

I think my symptoms were peri menopause related. I take a cranberry tablet every day now and haven't had anything like this in over a year. Might be coincidence though.

Ive had microscopic haematuria for literally years. Had a cystoscopy in 2017 which ruled out any nasties. Still have microscopic haematuria - GP couldn't be less interested - Id push for a cystoscopy to put your mind at rest.

I usually always have a trace of blood in my urine, recently moved and have a lovely new GP who wanted the cause investigated, had ultrasound of urinary tract, all ok. I wouldn’t worry OP, I know it can be scary. But for me it’s just how I am built.
