Misdee · 05/12/2007 17:33

oli is doing well. some little/big things but generally ok his girlfiend is doing the write ups

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 05/12/2007 17:34

Hi Misdee, glad to hear Peter is doing well. Have they got any theories for the slight rejection? Do they treat it with methalpred or more tac? Shame about having to have a biopsy.

Misdee · 05/12/2007 17:40

he always seem to have v v low rejection. they are just keeping an eye on it, and not increasing any meds. he doesnt feel unwell, and is generally all pink and perky. his last biopsy was a month ago, so they are slowly getting more and more spaced out.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 05/12/2007 17:43

Glad to hear he won't have any increase in his meds. As much as biopsy's are horrible, they allow the docs to see what's going on. Good to hear he is feeling well xx

Misdee · 05/12/2007 17:45

he still has the shakes though. they are annoying him.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 05/12/2007 17:47

Do they expect the shakes to get better?

Misdee · 05/12/2007 17:48

yes, it because of tyhe tacro. they said it should ease off in a couple of months but another tx patient said it can go on for a year or more. so am hoping the dont increase it in case it makes the shaking worse.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 05/12/2007 18:03

There are other anti-rejec drugs that can be taken daily. If they want to up the immuno-supp, ask them what else can be given instead of upping the tac.

noddyholder · 05/12/2007 18:09

I stopped the tac after 6 months because of the neuro effects The shakes were so bad I couldn't sign my name in shops and was always feeling drunk It never stopped and I am now on others Glad he is doing so well xx

madmommy6 · 06/12/2007 11:00
