Ongoing pain in lower left side of abdomen

22F for reference! I've had random pain for months on and off and these last few days it's been constant. Not excruciating pain- I can still function but constantly noticeable if you know what I mean? It almost feels like pain near my left ovary sometimes- but more above to the left hand side.

I'm getting a bit worried about it so contacted my GP yesterday who didn't seem interested. Sad

Any ideas of what it could be?

It could be lots of things, but near your left ovary there's potential for a cyst or an ectopic pregnancy. I'm not sure what else you can do apart from keeping an eye out for discharge, etc.

Early onset of appendicitis? Get checked out, A&E if necessary.

@SimplySteveRedux

Unless the OP has Situs Inversus we don’t know about, it’s not her appendix, particularly as it’s being going on for months.

I had this on my right - turned out to be a cyst which then burst. I was in so much pain when it ruptured my GP rushed me for an emergency ultrasound because she thought my appendix had burst.

I'm fine now, but I felt pretty ropey for a couple of weeks and had to take some pretty serious painkillers.

@SimplySteveRedux don't worry! Appendicitis was my first thought too until I googled what side it was on Smile

So basically I have to wait for it to rupture (if it is a cyst) before my GP will do anything Sad
