Anyone have lichen sclerosus / vulval cancer?

Am just looking for experiences, as I have symptoms that could be this (or probably a million other things). Did you get boils / blisters, and was the area ‘down there’ red and sore?

Please go to your GP as soon as possible much safer to get it checked out xx

I have lichen planus op, I'd suggest going to a GUM clinic, ideally when you're having a flare-up. It took about a year to get my diagnosis so the sooner you get started the better.
They've seen everything at GUM, I found it reassuring, even though it took a while to get sorted.

I did ask an experienced nurse to have a look when I had my smear. She said she couldn’t see anything that suggested LS, but to see the GP if I wanted to discuss further.

Did see GP a few years ago and she said folliculitis and furuncles but no prescription, said don’t use soap, avoid irritants etc. Which I try and do. But it’s never really gone away. She did say something about antibiotics?

Would the GUM clinic give me an appointment do you think? Apparently walk ins have been stopped post covid.

I've sent you a PM.

Sorry, I forgot that drop-in services would be affected by covid. Looks like you can do a search for local services and that should offer guidance on how they're dealing with appointments: www.nhs.uk/service-search/sexual-health/find-a-sexual-health-clinic
