Big toenail hanging off - lifted it by mistake

I know it’s a first world problem. It won’t come off but it’s about 3/4 off. Quick google search says don’t remove it, it’ll come off if it’s own accord.

In the meantime what do I do? Bandage it on? Put a plaster round it? It hurts.

Put a plaster round it so you dont accidentally catch it on something

If this happens to me, I put tape on it. It'll come off eventually, but ripping it off would be agony!

Make sure you change the tape and sort of squeeze out any trapped water after a shower/bath though, as otherwise it'll go manky (
