Excessive earwax in 17mth old

My ds (17 mths) has a problem with earwax. Every morning he has lots of very orangey looking wax in both ears. I clean his ears regularly with a damp flannel and tried even not cleaning it away for a couple of days to see if it would slow things down but no change.

He does not experience pain with it all and I dont think it affects his haering at all but should I be concerned? Was considering taking him to see the gp but don't want to waste docs time if its perfectly harmless!

thanks in advance!

I would get it checked to be honest. - And avoid the temptation of digging around with a cotton bud!
