Peak flow techniques

Anybodies 6/7 yr old got good technique? Despite DD being shown at the asthma clinic by the nurse, by myself (I used to be a nurse so I know what I'm doing) and her grandma (also a nurse) she is constantly only recording 75-80% of what her peak flow reading should be.

I and the nurse are not sure if it's down to technique or whether she isn't as well controlled as she appears to be, so consequently she is talking of introducing a third inhaler which I'm not happy about. I just wondered if anybody elses children struggle with technique.

The technique is bloody hard and I can't always get it right.

I agree it is hard, I just need some numbers to help confirm my thoughts (iyswim).

I only get about 270. If I get over 300 I think I have done well.

She's supposed to get 200 but only gets 150-160. Hers is a low range peak flow tho'.
