Flu jab & eczema

Dd who's 11 is booked for her flu jab this afternoon. She has congenital heart disease. I've just realised that last year's jab coincided with a huge flare-up of her eczema (discoid). I feel such an idiot that I didn't link the two before - dopey or what!?

Should people who have eczema have the jab? Is that one of the questions they should ask? I've never been asked it - just about eggs I think.

She's obviously at risk if she gets the flu, but she is also at risk of endocarditis from infected eczema - and last time's flare up lasted all winter. I don't know what to do!

i have no idea!! could you dose her up some pro-boitics b4, and keep an eye for any infections starting?

Could be the additives used in the jab (I'm thinking especially the metals)- in which case there may be an alternative brand available.
