4yo waking to urinate all night long / balanitis

Ds age 4 is waking multiple times a night to urinate. When this started I thought it was balanitis, which he had back in Jan. I treated with caneston cream for 2wks and the signs cleared up but the urinating hasn't. I spoke to doctors and trying steroid cream now. Has anyone else's little boys had this? He's very tired and starts school in 3wks...

Has he been tested for diabetes?

I assume that's a blood test or finger prick, so no. He does drink a lot, but he always had so there's no change there. It is something I've thought about but there were signs of balanitis to start with so I'm not overly concerned, just a niggle.

Right managed to speak to nurse in phone and she's confirmed that they checked the urine sample for diabetes or uti and all clear. So it's just this stubborn balanitis.
