An enormous boil on my posterior

I have the most enormous, inflamed, painful boil on my bum
I've had them before but never this hard and painful, I can barely sit down.
I googled and have tried applying warm compress but it doesn't seem to be doing anything and it's been 3 days now.
Do I need Dr appointment (would rather not explain to receptionist who is our neighbour over the phone what the issue is!) or is there anything I can do to get rid of it?

Apparently Vicks draws them out.

Hope things are improving, if not try magnesium sulphate paste. You can get in from a chemist. It is really good at drawing things out.

Very hot flannel on the area. Mag sulphate paste. But some need draining....get to Spooner corner - take a photo and get some good advice.
