Have just worked out that is 10 days since we came in contact with chicken pox. What does the rash / spots look like?

start as small red spots which soon form little fluid filled blisters.
Can take up to 21 days from contact to appear.
After you see the first spot, more appear quite rapidly. We were at a friends christening when I saw one spot on ds. By the end we couldn't see him under all the spots.
And then 2 weeks later every child who had been there had it

Yes they r small red spots on his face and legs
How long r they contagious?

from the day before the spots appear to when they go dried and crusty. I think about a week but the child looks like plague carrier for ages. Don't plan any photos and stick a bag over head

appraoch it with 'its best to get this over and done with' type way. Then apologise if they all come down with it over Christmas.
My 4th child came down with it at a special needs day (she has severe CP) and I was embreassed cos some of the other kids were medically fragile. We hightailed it out of there!
