I think I have, but via a drip initially, which reduced the pressure (and the pain) within about thirty minutes.

Then had it orally for a week pending cataract removal. No problems at all.

Yes I had it for pressure of 52. Was supposed to take for 7 days but side-effects were fairly awful so I only managed 5. The pressure went back to normal.

Optometrist here. Is your eye angle open? Have they said acute or chronic onset?

AnnaMagnani · 08/08/2021 18:34

DH had it. It definitely works but you will urgently need some other intervention to stabilize pressures.

His hospital mucked him about terrible with the result that he now can't drive and can't see his feet.

Never ever let them cancel a follow up appointment or let an appointment go longer than they initially stated.

I have used latanoprost for years, now given me some other eye drops called brinxolamide as well. Primary angle closure glaucoma specialist said.

I'm having laser procedure in the next two to four weeks.

With covid my eye checks at clinic were halted. I saw an optician for headaches, blurring and dislike of bright light. He referred me which meant that I was seen the following week.

The diamox gave me no discernible side effects

After the laser you shouldn't need the diomox. The laser will let the eye fluid flow out much quicker so pressure will be lower and headaches will stop
