Hard lump behind DD's ear

She's got chicken pox at the moment so is this linked? What could it be - a gland? I didn't think think there were any behind the ears - it is quite pronounced.

There's something called mastoiditis which presents like this. Worth checking with your GP.

Thanks for these. Saggars / CD the lump does feel like it's on the mastoid bone. Could that still be swollen glands? She says it doesn't hurt and hasn't had any ear infection that I know of but then she's had quite a full on cold as well recently which is on her chest and added to that the chicken pox. Poor little thing.
