I had my Astra Zeneca vaccine today and was the only one to be handed a red sticker on my arm while seated.Did anyone else have one?

Did you ask why?

silverstrawberry · 30/07/2021 21:09

No because I just assumed everyone was getting one and he had forgotten to hand it to me at the desk

Was it a centre that was also giving Pfizer?

ThePlantsitter · 30/07/2021 21:11

At my GP they took the opportunity to get people with asthma/diabetes etc to have their annual check ups. Could it have been something like that?

silverstrawberry · 30/07/2021 21:11

Yes the centre was divided into two

On my side I noticed I was the only one with a red sticker

It's to show you needed AZ.
Most people getting vaccinated now are under 40 so are having Pfizer (first and second dose). The majority of people who had AZ will have had their second dose now, so the sticker just makes sure they give you the right one.

caughtinanet · 30/07/2021 21:14

Maybe so they knew you were for AZ rather than one of the others?

PurpleDaisies · 30/07/2021 21:16

At my vaccine centre people were given different colour cards for Pfizer and AZ vaccines to get them in the right queues. It just sounds like that.

silverstrawberry · 30/07/2021 21:16

Ahh ok I was getting onto some conspiracy they had given me a placebo because I've had no symptoms ha

Our vaccine centre was giving both vaccines sticker colour matched which vaccine you got or 2nd vaccine :)

silverstrawberry · 30/07/2021 21:20

Ah ok thanks 😬I meant side effects not symptoms 🤔

I was given a numbered card, there were loads if us and two queues but it was to show I needed AZ but the 'younger' line was getting phizer.

This was what happened at the vaccination centre I went to, except that everyone got stickers. I think it was pink for AZ and blue for Pfizer
