My 5 year old was at the jumps yesterday going down jumps on his bike, he fell of his bike and the bike hit his ribs, he was winded for a moment and then said his ribs hurt so I took him home, I gave him calpo and he went back out to play on trampoline and running around. So I assumed he was ok. He was fine all night I stayed up and watched him for abit my anxiety kicking in 😳 this morning he woke up and was ok then said his ribs hurt again when he sneezed. He’s sat playing on the PlayStation at the moment and fine in himself but are they likely to be bruised or broken 😩😩

Either. Broken ribs typically hurt a great deal but I've known an older child fall out of a tree, get on with their day and be in pain a few days later with two cracked ribs. I would have him checked out

I agree. Get him checked. My DS had a fall and was in pain initially then was doing handstands and cartwheels the next day. Only found out he had a broken rib through a routine chest X-ray for his medical condition

having bruised my ribs twice in last 12m I think you'd know if it deserved medical attention. There isn't any treatment for bruised ribs anyway (and little treatment for broken ones), just painkillers when required. So comes down to listening to own body, anyway, to get thru it.
