Travel insurance for Canada with pre-existing conditions

Hi - I’m needing to visit my elderly parents in Canada this summer. I’m a dual Canadian/UK citizen so it is legal travel, and I am double jabbed so should be permitted in/out with Amber list travel.

The issue is that since currently the FCDO definition “advises against all but essential travel to Canada based on the current assessment of COVID-19 risks” it explicitly nullifies my particular travel insurance policy.

I have a (serious but stable) health condition I am normally insured for. It is possible to purchase covid-inclusive cover for North America, but the only provider I’ve found that covers travel under the FCDO advisory warning doesn’t cover any preexisting conditions.

Does anyone know of a healthcare insurer that:

  1. covers travel to Canada
  2. covers covid/pandemic health claims
  3. covers travel to areas under that FCDO advisory AND
  4. covers pre-existing conditions (just in case something unexpected happens?)

Thanks for any suggestions.

My mum and dad have used esure insurance for trips to Canada with pre existing conditions. They're pretty expensive but have been great in the past.
They have a trip booked next month and esure were the best for them for Covid related travel protection.

Thanks- I’ll check those ones out too. Any other suggestions are also welcomed - every policy seems to have a loophole or two that would deny me coverage. 🤯 much appreciated, friends.
