Bruise in the middle of my hand

I don't know if you can see from the picture but there's a big bruise in the middle of my hand.

I think I know what it's from. I was playing with a kitten and he was play biting my hand. He wasn't aggressive and it wasn't sore. I had no pain in my hand from his playfulness. Now my hand is bruised.

Is this something to be worried about? The bruise is there about a day.

Chalk it up as 'one of those weird things that happens'

Unless: you have other unexplained bruises, bleeding gums, nosebleeds, and/or night sweats, and or/unusual fatigue/tiredness, and/or shortness of breath and/or unexplained weight loss.

If you have a few of these, even though individually they don't amount to much, contact your GP and list all symptoms you have - they should order some blood tests, including a full blood count
