Is it possible scoliosis is causing pain in hip and left side?

I’m being referred to an orthopaedic surgeon and for an MRI, so the answer will come soon enough.

But I have reverse S-shaped scoliosis, and am wondering if this might be the cause of pain I’ve been getting in my left hip and left waist. It feel strange that a spinal issue would cause pain just on one side.

My GP has also suggested it could be the discs causing the pain.

Just wondered if anyone had experienced similar.

I have lumbar disc issues and my pain has always been in the hip, I never get pain in my back from it. My physio has said I have a slight curvature at the base of my spine so yes I do think your pain could be from that.

Thank you so much @steppingcarefully - that’s reassuring to know.

I am beginning to catastrophise somewhat, which is never helpful, so thank you. Flowers
